SCHEDULING AND LOCATIONS
Q: WHAT DAYS DO YOU SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS?
A: I work by appointment only.
For in-Home Location sessions: Monday through Friday 8:00pm and weekends from 9:00am – 6:00pm.
For On-Location sessions: Weekends from 8:00am – 6:00pm.
For Group Pet Sessions, I scheduled appointments on weekends from 9:00am - 6:00pm. Other times are available by special arrangement.
Q. WHERE WILL THE PHOTO SESSION TAKE PLACE?
A: For In-home and Group pet sessions, pretty much wherever you would like it to take place in your home (living, rooms).I will need a very little space to setup the professional studio for you. Travel cost may apply if you are out of my local area.
For On-Location sessions, Fortunately in South Florida we have beautiful beaches and parks that can offer some wonderful backdrop scenery and provide great lighting. Travel cost may apply if you are out of my local area.
Q: WHAT TIME OF DAY IS THE BEST FOR A PHOTO SESSION?
A: For outdoor photography, morning and early evenings before sunset provide the best light. Taking photos mid-day on bright, sunny days is discouraged, unless some shade is available. Indoor studio photo shoots are fine any time of day or night.
Q: WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD ON THE DAY?
A: If Mother Nature isn't cooperating with us (rainy, storms or unstable weather) we will need to reschedule the session to another day. There is no additional fee for rescheduling a session.
Q. DO YOU TRAVEL FOR OUT TOWN CLIENTS?
A: Yes. I'm based in Miami Dade county (33015) and will travel up to 25 miles one way at no extra charge. Travel surcharges may apply if you too far outside of our service area
Q: CANCELLATION POLICY
A: Cancellations made prior to 15 days of the shoot are refundable. Cancellations made less than 1 week prior the shoot are non-refundable but the session can be rescheduled at any time.
Q: WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE MY PET?
A: No preparation is necessary, although if your dog has very long or dirty fur, this would be a great time for a trim and/or a bath. Food is an excellent motivator, so you might want to feed your pet a little less than usual also taking your pet for a little walk before the session will be helping to maintain the attention during the shoot. Bringing along a favorite treat and toy can be helpful. I keep treats on hand, so let me know in advance if your pet has any dietary restrictions.
Q: WHAT IS MY DOG IS NOT WELL BEHAVED?
A: That’s perfectly ok! While knowing the basic commands, such as sit, come and lay, are a bonus, they aren’t a requirement. I also bring some tasty training treats and many squeaky toys with me, which helps get the dogs interested in me. My goal is to photograph your pet doing what they do best – no one is judging how well they will sit or stay. Before we start, I will spend some time getting to know your pet, and getting them used to me and the camera.
Q: MY DOG HAS TO BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES. I DON'T WANT TO SEE THE LEASH OR MYSELF IN THE PHOTOS.
A: Believe it or not, most of the dogs I photograph outdoors are on-leash! Safety is our first priority. I will not put your pet in any situation that might compromise their safety. So, unless the area is secure, your dog will likely be on-leash for the session. I am able to remove the leash from the images during the post-processing process. I'll do it at no extra cost.
Q: WHAT WILL BE EXPECTED OF MY PET?
A: For studio shoots, dogs must have a minimum level of obedience and need to be able to sit and stay on command. For liability issues, I do not photograph aggressive dogs.
Q: SHOULD I HAVE TREATS AND/OR FAVOURITE TOYS?
A: It’s always a good idea to have treats available to hold your animal’s attention. A favourite treat and toys, these always help calm down or comfort animals when in a new environment.
Q: CAN I BE INCLUDED IN SOME PHOTOS WITH MY PET?
A: Definitely! (for On-Location session only). You are more than welcome to hop in a few of the photos with your pet. I love to show the special connection between pet and owner (The candid shots that I get of pets with their owners are my most favorite images to show my clients. You will love them!).
Q: WHAT SHOULD I WEAR IF I WANT TO BE IN THE IMAGES?
A: I recommend you wear something that complements the color of your dog. It’s best to stick to solid colors (prints don’t cooperate).
